Welcome to 2008

I figured I would start out the new year by finally updating the picture at the top of my blog, since it was a picture of the apartment building in which I have not lived for at least 6 months.

When 2007 began, I was a renter, I was single, and I had just started working full time again. I was starting over in DC with a new life. Over the course of the following 365 days I became a homeowner again, I met a wonderful girl, I made some excellent new friends and reconnected with some old friends, and I had a real job for a full year for the first time since 2004. These are all great things, except possibly the last one, but it's probably good for me. These all made last year one of the best of my life. It was also a year that I took risks, and challenged myself in ways I never would have dreamed of a couple years ago.

Here's wishing everyone a great year. My only resolution is to enjoy life in 2008 whatever it may hold.
